Briefly, About Us
Fenn Design was established in 1979 in San Juan, Puerto Rico as Peter Fenn Art and Typesetting. At that time, full creative production services were offered to large international advertising agencies as well as direct clients.
In 1981, the company changed direction and name, becoming Fenn Advertising, Inc. Services to other agencies was phased out, and the client list was expanded with Fenn Advertising offering full communication services including Public Relations, Direct Marketing and Special Promotions.
Going Digital
In the mid eighties we were highly impressed with what a little computer called a Mac Plus and a laser printer could do. After seeing the demo, the agency, including all departments – especially creative, became digitalized. Fenn Advertising pioneered digital creative production, leading the industry in Puerto Rico, with many Firsts: First to create all digital, high resolution files to output negatives for publication, First to produce an all Digital (award winning) TV commercial for Absolut Vodka.
Doing what we do best!
In 1999, Peter Fenn decided to “go back to his roots” by phasing out the media buying aspects of the business and focusing more on Creative Production - our name again changed to Fenn Design. Today, our advertising clients are small and medium sized companies that do not require a full time, full service, advertising agency. Yet, these companies do advertise and market their products and services. Fenn Design prepares advertising plans and strategies and executes the creative production, leaving our clients to purchase media placement directly. This has proven to be a successful formula for us as well as our clients.
Website Design and Development
In 2001 as creative marketing and advertising specialists, it didn’t take long for us to recognize the enormous impact the internet would have on our industry. Add to that the impact that search engines would have on the internet! Once again our studio led the charge as we transitioned from traditional media production to electronic online publishing, creating custom designed, marketing oriented websites for an ever growing list of discerning clients. Today the bulk of our business is Website design and development in Puerto Rico.
Awards and Recognition
Our Creative Production through the years has garnered awards and recognition from our peers and the Puerto Rico Association of Advertising Agencies. We have won the coveted “Cuspide” award for Television, Point of Purchase and Print work. We were also awarded the “Best Yearly Advertising Campaign” for our client, The Hotel Condado Beach.
